High barrier sealing films

The high barrier lidding films from SÜDPACK Grootegast are special sealing films. These sealing films have an extremely high barrier layer that extends the shelf life of the packaged product. Our other high barrier packaging concepts include laminated films or pre-formed high barrier packaging.

In addition to the essential product protection, our high barrier packaging can also be individually designed: matt, printed, or transparent so the product could be very well seen through the film.

SiOx-HBL

Our films with SiOx are specialized high-barrier sealing films. These films are comprised of microscopic units of glass that are placed on top of each other in a snowflake-like structure. This layer blocks almost all oxygen and vapor transmission. And because it’s made up out of glass, our unprinted high-barrier sealing film is completely transparent.

AlOx films

Our fims with AlOx are an excellent solution for preserved products of high rotation or globally demanded. These films contain microscopic units of aluminum, that are stacked on top of each other in a crystal-like structure. Because of the material and structure, these lidding films are not completely transparent but add a slight ‘matt’ look. Provides high barrier protection.
